What: The Nashville Clean Water Project at Percy Priest Lake, a free community cleanup benefiting the environment.When: Twice annually -- Spring and Fall. We offer three-hour (or longer) blocks of service with boats departing to specific lake locations every 1/2 hour. Click the "register" button to, uh... register.
Who: You, your friends, your church groups, your neighborhood association, your colleagues, your family -- you get the point. Percy Priest Lake really needs our help so we'll put you to work, as long as you're age 16 years and up!
How Much: Absolutely free, and you'll even receive a few thank you gifts, too.
Free Stuff: Trash bags, gloves, sunscreen, snacks, hand sanitizer, T-shirts, hats, new friends, a great afternoon, and good karma for helping Mother Nature.
Where: Since May 2008, our project has located J. Percy Priest Lake in Nashville, Tennessee, with event day arrangements at Nashville Shores water park.
From Nashville, Memphis, and Bellevue: Take I-40 East from Nashville to Old Hickory Boulevard (Exit 221B) and go South. Turn right on Bell Road and the Nashville Shores entrance is a 1/2 mile on the left.
From Knoxville, Cookeville, and Lebanon: Take I-40 West to Old Hickory Boulevard (Exit 221) and go South. Turn right on Bell Road and the Nashville Shores entrance is a 1/2 mile on the left.
From Chattanooga and Murfreesboro: Take I-24 West to Bell Road (Exit 59). Turn right and go North for 8 miles. Continue on Bell Road towards Percy Priest Dam and the entrance will be 1 1/2 miles on your right.
From Louisville, Bowling Green, and Goodlettsville: Take I-65 South to I-40 East. Exit at Old Hickory Boulevard (Exit 221B) and go South. Turn right on Bell Road and the Nashville Shores entrance is a 1/2 mile on the left.
From Huntsville, Franklin, and Brentwood: Take I-65 North to I-40 East. Exit at Old Hickory Boulevard (Exit 221B) and go South. Turn right on Bell Road and the Nashville Shores entrance is a 1/2 mile on the left.
